We share information only with service providers who help us run the service — for example our identity provider (Clerk), payment processor (Stripe), and hosting/CDN (AWS)— under contracts limiting their use of it. We may disclose information where required by law. We do not sell your personal information.
Advertising measurement. If you arrive at our site from an ad (for example, on Reddit), the ad platform appends a click identifier to the link. We may send that click identifier, together with your IP address, browser user-agent, and the fact that a visit, free subscription, or trial started, back to that ad platform so we can measure whether our ads work. This applies only to visits that arrive from an ad — we send nothing about other visitors. We never send your email address, account details, or anything about how you use the service after signing in. Under California law this limited disclosure may be considered “sharing” for advertising purposes; see your opt-out choices. We still do not sell your personal information.
We use cookies necessary for authentication and session management, and where enabled, privacy-respecting analytics. If you visit from the EU/UK, we will present a consent choice for non-essential cookies. We do not load any advertising scripts or pixels on our pages; ad measurement, where it happens at all, is done from our own servers as described above.
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure. If a breach affecting your personal information occurs, we will notify affected users as required by law.
We retain account information for as long as your account is active and as needed for legal, tax, and compliance purposes, then delete or anonymize it. You may request deletion (see below).
